Juicing for Weight Loss: The Before, The After and the During

I have to admit that I have focused so much on the before and after of my juicing and weight loss journey that I haven’t focused enough on the DURING.

I recently met up with a friend who I haven’t seen in years. She wants me to do some media appearances with her, and asked me to get some “before and after” photos ready.

Um… “after”? I’m not at my after… am I?

No, I’m not, and I can freely admit that. However, I am not as far away as I think I am, and I’m farther away from my BEFORE than I thought I was. I recently saw a video of me that was recorded in 2009 and was shocked at my appearance. SHOCKED I tell you! It was a stunning revelation that led me to a sense of great joy. I don’t look anything like that anymore, and I need to recognize that even though I am not yet at the weight that I want to be, I have made great strides in my journey.

Don’t be like me. Celebrate your DURING and recognize the work you have put into your change.

  1. I have to lovingly disagree when you say “Dont be like me.” I think you set up a perfect example of how real people, doing their work, can pick up their heads at ANY time during the journey and give themselves permission to say, “Hey, look at this! I’m “here” where I used to be “there”–amazing!!!” Besides, maybe you needed to wait– we can’t always see our progress, and sometimes we’re not ready to see it. I think you, your personal journey and your mission to create an authentic platform are all beautiful and wonderful.

  2. Most types of lettuce are composed mostly of water
and hold little or no nutritional value. While a gluten free diet seems
to be linked to improvements in these children, none of the studies have yet found a
definitive reason why. and all have required discipline; determination and sacrifice to be successful.
