One of the BEST Pro-Juicing Videos… EVER!

Y’all know how much I love to talk about juicing! As the months have gone by and I learn more about the science behind it, I have become more and more fascinated by the ability to heal all that ails through proper nutrients. It’s simply mind-boggling!

I came across this video of Dr. Robert Young today on Facebook. Now, at first, the fact that it’s 42 minutes gave me pause, but I committed to sitting down and watching the whole thing. AH-MAY-ZAN’! Really great explanation of the importance of pH levels in the body, how juicing green veggies and fruits is the key to balance, and the awesomeness that is raw food. Juice Fasting: Don’t Let the Rocky Road Fool You

I love when people comment on my videos! One of the comments I received recently intrigued me and prompted today’s video response. The person said:

“I have to say that if your weird diet practice cause you to be physically or mentally ill you need to change the way you eat. The body is absolutely able to take care of itself on any whole, real, food diet. If you are having hypoglycemia, or weird issues the diet is to blame, not you.”

Am I “mentally ill”?!?!? LMAO!!!!

Interesting perspective… and while I do believe that the body’s main function is to heal itself, I believe that process is helped so much more when we give it the right and perfect fuel. I do not see this as a “crazy” or “weird” way of eating… I see it as a way to mainline HUGE amounts of fruits, veggies and herbs straight into my system! Yay for the good stuff!

As for the emotional detox that comes from the healing, why would you NOT want to go through it? It’s so critical to forgive past hurts and allow yourself complete and total clarity and forgiveness. If you do not take the time to examine your feelings as they come up, I believe they can create toxic scenarios within the body that can cause physical damage down the line.

So, even though I deal with a lot of detox stuff in my videos, and if this looks like a painful process that you wouldn’t wish on your enemy’s dog… trust me. It is SO worth it!

The “Just One Day” Juice Challenge!

They say that Rome wasn’t built in a day. True, yes…….. but it sho’ nuff started with one!

We frequently dismiss the power of 24 hours. However, let’s take a second to realize what CAN be done in just one day. You can run a marathon, perform a triathlon, fly across continents, paint a house, sew an entire outfit (ever watched Project Runway? I’m just sayin’), and SO much more.

You can also kickstart a healthy lifestyle!

Next Tuesday on the ‘Raw Raw Life!’ Facebook page, I’m hosting the “Just One Day” juice challenge. Why “just one day”? Because when we talk about 10, 30 or 60 day juice challenges, people get squeamish! It automatically becomes about what they CAN’T do, not what’s possible. This way, you can take it one day at a time. You don’t have to think about what the next day will bring – if you decide to keep juicing, great! If not, you have at least juiced for one whole day and know it’s POSSIBLE! So whether you use it as a kickstart or recommitment, it’s all up to you.
